Bundobust is Indian street food that doesn’t take itself seriously, which is exactly how street food should be. Bold Street location makes sense – it’s the kind of place you pop into, eat standing or sitting, have a beer, move on or stay longer. Flexible.

The format is small plates and street food classics. Pani puri (the snack where you fill a crispy shell with spiced water and fillings), samosas, bhel, things meant to be eaten fast and enjoyed. Everything is cooked to order, which means it’s warm and fresh when it arrives.

The craft beer selection is genuinely good – they work with breweries and know what pairs with spiced food. Beers are chosen to complement, not fight. Prices are fair; it’s not marked up just because it’s craft beer. Soft options are available and decent.

Cooking is quick but proper. Samosas are crispy and the filling is seasoned right. Pani puri waters are balanced – spicy but not burning, sour from tamarind properly balanced, not just chilli. Breads arrive warm. Curry sauces have actual depth.

Budget £8-£15 per person for a proper meal. Everything is cheap – plates are £2-£5, beer is £4-£6. It’s genuinely good value which is rare for this location. You could eat less and spend less, or pile up plates and stay under twenty quid.

The space is casual. Counter seating where you can watch the kitchen, high tables for standing, some proper seating. It’s designed for turnover but doesn’t feel rushed. Music is playing, atmosphere is buzzing without being loud.

Service is quick and knows the menu. They’ll suggest what works if you’re unsure. Orders are taken fast, food arrives quickly. No ceremony, just efficient service for this kind of food.

Evenings are rammed – it’s a proper social spot. Weekend lunches are busy. Quietest is probably weekday afternoons. The whole point is good food at prices that make sense, beer that matters, casual atmosphere. Nails it.
