After the original Kazimier Club on Wolstenholme Square closed in 2014, the Kazimier project relocated and transformed into the Garden – a permanent outdoor venue in the Ropewalks that has become one of the most distinctive spaces in Liverpool’s cultural landscape. It operates as a bar, a food venue, a music space, and a community gathering point, often all at the same time, and the result is the kind of place that makes Liverpool’s creative scene visible and accessible in a way that indoor venues can’t always manage.

The Garden

The Kazimier Garden is properly designed – it isn’t just an outdoor space but an environment built for the specific mix of activities it hosts. The structures, the plantings, the lighting, and the general atmosphere reflect the artistic DNA of the Kazimier project. On a warm evening in summer, it is one of the best places to be in Liverpool, full stop.

The Wood-Fired Kitchen

The food operation uses a wood-fired kitchen that produces the kind of outdoor cooking that rewards the format – flatbreads, grilled vegetables, proteins that benefit from the smoke. It is food designed to be eaten outside, which is a combination that more venues should attempt. The menu changes seasonally and reflects what works on an open fire.

Events

The summer programme at Kazimier Garden covers live music, DJ sets, community events, and the kind of programming that reflects a genuinely independent cultural organisation rather than a commercially-driven venue operation.
