Premier Inn does not need much introduction. You know what you are getting – the Hypno-Sleep bed that people make fun of until they sleep on it, a reliable bathroom, a Whitbread breakfast if you want it, and a price that the boutique hotels cannot touch. Liverpool has several sites and the choice between them matters.
The Albert Dock site is the headline option for first-time visitors – right on the historic waterfront, a short walk from the Beatles Story, Tate Liverpool and the Museum of Liverpool. Rates are slightly higher than the city centre alternatives but the location is genuinely special.
The Liverpool City Centre site on Vernon Street is the standard city centre pick – close to Liverpool Central station, walkable to the main attractions, nothing particularly distinctive about the surroundings but everything is accessible. The Lime Street site suits train arrivals well.
The Liverpool North site near the docks is cheaper again but requires more thought about getting around – fine if you have a car or are there specifically for the northern docks area.
Book well in advance for summer, Beatles Week in August, and any match weekends. Flexible rates are available but the saver rates are typically significantly cheaper. Multiple locations across L1, L2 and L3.
